The Swedetown Trails Club is looking for a part-time (20-25 hours per week) employee ($19 per hour) to help maintain and improve the single-track and ski trails. The job is labor-intensive and will be supervised by an experienced trails employee, who will work with you most of the time (some jobs, like mowing ski trails, will be done solo once you have experience).
The job will involve:
- using hand tools to build short segments of single-track, or fix areas damaged by erosion and heavy use
- using power tools, such as string trimmers, brush saws, and leaf blowers, to maintain and improve trails
- learning and then operating equipment such as our tractor and mini-excavator, to mow ski trails and move dirt around
The position will run from mid-May through late fall. We can offer reduced hours in the fall (or a shorter season) to accommodate students.
Past experience with trail work and equipment (such leaf blowers, tractor, brush saw) is desired, but not required.
