Trail Conditions

Some snow has arrived and a few skiers have tested it before it melts. Check the webcams below for a view of Valley Trail. Reminder: during Michigan deer hunting season, wear orange whenever you are out in the woods.

After heavy rains or wet snow, please do not walk or bike if you are leaving ruts in the mud on the trail. Choose another trail or another day to allow that wet trail to freeze up for winter.

DogsIn summer and fall your dog is welcome to join you on your walks and runs on any Swedetown trail. This changes in winter – in winter dogs are welcome only on the Multi-Use Trails (MUT) starting at the Woodland Trailhead (address 24984 Woodland Road). Once winter grooming begins, dogs are not allowed on any of the five trails starting at the Swedetown Chalet parking lot on Osceola Road. When you are with your dog you can go over to these Multi-Use Trails or visit Lions Park trail off Pine Street.

Clean Trails – Standard courtesy – clean up after your dog, including sides of trails and at trailhead parking. The trails and trailheads are maintained by volunteers.
